Daniela Monasterios Tan is a Singapore-based fashion researcher and educator. She is currently a PhD candidate at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London. Her research focuses on contemporary fashion practices in Bolivia, reflecting on indigeneity, dress as resistance, and speculative world-making.

She holds an MA in Fashion Curation from the London College of Fashion, and a BA in Fashion Design from LASALLE College of the Arts. Her academic interests include decentered fashion research and feminist fashion histories.

Daniela has contributed to exhibitions at the Frida Kahlo Museum, the Barbican, Palais Galliera, the V&A Museum, and the Asian Civilisations Museum. She is co-founder of the art-fashion collective A Stubborn Bloom with artist Stephanie J Burt and co-host of In The Vitrine, a podcast about fashion history and culture in Asia with Dr. Nadya Wang.

As a lecturer in Fashion at LASALLE College of the Arts, Daniela  teaches courses in fashion theory, design research, creative processes, and curation. Her teaching draws from personal practice, cultural theory, and collaborative pedagogy. She aims to equip students with critical tools to engage with fashion as a complex and powerful cultural system.
